Main Rules for Advertising

Disclaimer

• Malaysiads.com is not responsible for any transactions conducted in Malaysiads.com.

Advertiser’s responsibility

• Advertiser MUST be able to deliver the merchandise as promised; in terms of the delivery period, contents, condition and price.

Solely marketing

• It’s only allowed to advertise sales, rentals and services. To use the ad for pure marketing purposes, i.e. not offering any concrete goods, jobs or services, is not allowed.

Services

• Services offered must follow applicable law and regulations of Malaysia for each given profession. Services should always be placed in the services category.

Category

• The ad has to be placed in the category that describes the item or service the best (the ad will be moved to the right category when possible). Good and services that do not fit in the same category must be placed in separate ads.

Tittle

• The creation of multiple tittles for similar items will result in deletion of all the posts. NO DUPLICATES!

Price

• All prices is to be in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) only.

Location

• Only Advertiser from Towns/Cities in Malaysia are allowed. Advertisers from outside Malaysia is not allowed in Malaysiads.com

Description

• The ad heading has to describe the item or the service advertised, no company names or urls are allowed. No unnecessary characters are allowed in the heading. The item or service has to be described in the ad text, it is not allowed to merely link to another page. Ad texts are not allowed to be copied from other advertisers, these are protected under copyright laws. It’s not allowed to use search words or keywords in the ad text. Only ads in Bahasa Malaysia and English are allowed.

Tags

• Do kindly include your products/services most related keyword TAGS when creating an Ads. Using the Tags helps potential buyers search, so it is to your advantage.

URL Links

• URL links in the ad have to be relevant to the item or service advertised. Same general rules for the ad applies also for the link. It is not allowed to link to another classified site.

Images

• Images in the ad have to be relevant to the item or service advertised. Company logotypes are prohibited as images except for categories “Services”. It is not allowed to use images from other advertisers without consent. These are protected under copyright laws. Images showing models displaying underwear or bathing wear are not allowed.

Only one Item per ad

• It is not allowed to place more than one items in a single ad.

Pirated goods and forgeries

• It is not allowed to advertise pirated goods and forgeries of e.g. branded products, CD/VCD/DVD, computer/game-consoles software. All applicable products must be certified original by the advertiser.

Rules for pets and animals

• Animals traded on Malaysiads.com have to follow the Wildlife Protection Act of Malaysia 1972, Fisheries Act 1985 and CITES.

Illegal goods

• Ads featuring goods that are prohibited from sale according to Malaysian law are not allowed on Malaysiads.com. For a list with examples of illegal product listed here :

1. Alcohol or alcohol based products.
2. Tobacco or tobacco based products.
3. Unauthorised copies of music, movies, television programs, books, photographs as determined by the Copyright Act.
4. Imitation goods of any nature; and any item or service which infringes an intellectual property rights of another person.
5. MLM, pyramid schemes or any other similar marketing schemes and its products.
6. Gambling or gambling-related products/services.
7. Offensive or indecent material such as adult toys, adult entertainment, pornography and any other items deemed unsuitable by the moderators.
8. Weapons such as knives, pepper sprays, air guns or any other weaponry that may require a special permit, including but not limited to switchblades and other pocket knives but not including swiss army knives and any accessories to such weaponry including parts and bullets regardless of its composition and as may be so determined by the moderator in charge.
9. Stolen goods, whether or not you have prior knowledge of the theft.
10. Items requiring a special permit, regardless whether you have that special permit. This includes pharmaceutical drugs and contact lenses.
11. Rapidshare accounts, gaming accounts of any other online accounts in general which are prohibited by the rules of the site
12. Any item deemed illegal by the laws of Malaysia.

Offensive content

• Ads or images that can be perceived offensive to ethnic groups, individuals or public figures are not allowed.

Unrealistic offers

• Malaysiads.com reserves the right to deem what’s unrealistic.

If an ad is rejected due to breaking the rules, the advertiser need to place a new ads. Malaysiads.com reserves the right to decide whether an ad breaks the Malaysiads rules. The rules are constantly updated and may change over time.
