This position is for a professional product buyer for an online/e-commerce business. The product categories will include: consumer electronics, household goods, sports equipment and more. The products will be end of season, end of line and excess stock. Therefore you will need to contact companies with available stock to negotiate terms. You will be expected to purchase stock at the lowest possible price.
As suppliers will vary in their excess and end of season stock, you will be expected to contact them regularly and maintain good relationships. You will also need to maintain a database with potentially hundreds of suppliers to see which company has what stock available at what time. Therefore excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills are essential for this position.

You should be fluent in the English & Malay language and be able to take directions from upper level management and execute tasks according to the company’s goals. Organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential to this position.
